Criminal Defense Attorney
I am a proud San Antonio native and graduate of John Marshall High School. I attended Texas State University, where I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications. I then returned to San Antonio to attended St. Mary’s University School of Law where I earned a Juris Doctorate in May 2011 and a certification of concentration in criminal law. While in law school, I won the Larry G. Hyden Mock Trial Competition in Fall 2010. As a law student, I worked at Texas Rio Grande Legal Aid, where I helped low-income people with legal issues throughout southwest Texas. I also interned in the Bexar County District Attorney’s Office as well as the Office of the Public Defender for the Western District of Texas.
My experience in the district attorney’s office was both enlightening and career changing. Working there opened my eyes to the vast and pervasive abuses fellow citizens suffer at the hands of the criminal justice system. That experience led me to pursue criminal defense and makes me a passionate advocate for rights of my fellow citizens.
Since that time, I have worked zealously to defend citizens accused of crimes throughout South and Central Texas. In addition to being licensed to practice in the state courts of Texas, I am also license in Federal Court and approved to practice in the Western District of Texas.
